William Howard Smith

William Howard Smith age 76, of Woodlawn went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2019. He was born July 31, 1943 in Rison to the late Matthew William Smith and Arie Agnes Stover Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Bill Smith, Jr., David Smith, siblings, Curtis Aud, Joann Miller, Jim Smith and Geneva Peterson. Mr. Smith always enjoyed telling a good joke, hunting, fishing and playing Dominoes. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Cleveland County, where he hauled logs and later retired from Cleveland County Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Smith, children, Randy Smith and his wife Shelia, Sharon Harrison and her husband Robert, one sister, Joyce Campbell, six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Travis Miller, Scott Miller, Billy Smith, Lee Harrison, David Raney, Jason Aud, Joe Mosley and Brian Starks. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Charles Woolley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
