Sarah Elizabeth Halley

Sarah Elizabeth Halley, 42 of Rison, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born in Bradley County on July 7, 1980 to Mark and Kathy Young Halley. Sarah was a 1998 graduate of Woodlawn High School and 2004 graduate of ULAR, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church. Sarah was an inspiration to many. She always wore a beautiful smile, even through her pain. Her biggest joys in life were her two nieces, Kennedy and Anna, who she loved with her whole heart. Sarah was preceded in death by grandparents, Francille Young, Ann Halley and Bernie Halley; Aunts, Bobette Anderson and Renia Young.

Sarah is survived by her parents, Mark and Kathy Young Halley; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Miranda Halley; grandfather, A. F. “Bully” Young; nieces, Kennedy and Anna Halley; special friend, Phil May; numerous family member and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00. p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Johnie Brewster and Brother Charles Woolley officiating.
