Roy Morgan

Roy L. Morgan, age 84, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born December 23, 1938, in Cleveland County, Arkansas to the late John W. Morgan and Mildred Patrick Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Morgan Doman and her husband Olen. Mr. Morgan was a 1957 graduate of Pine Bluff High School, and a United States Air Force veteran. He was baptized in Forest Park Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was a master mason and a member of Masonic Lodge #1331. He retired from Texaco in Fort Worth, Texas and worked for the city of Roanoke, Texas.

He is survived by his son John W. Morgan, II and his wife Christie of Fort Worth, Texas , his step-son, Lonnie Allen, step-daughters, Tammie Allen Brooks and Sheila Allen Taylor, his grandsons, Reece Parker and wife Kyra and Noah Fuentes, granddaughters, Marlie Morgan, Haley Fuentes and Brittney Lira and her husband Michael, his great-granddaughters, Grayson Hernandez and Raleigh Lira, one great-grandson, Maddox Lira, his sisters, Bernita Morgan of College Station, Texas and Martha Morgan of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine.
