Roy Victor Baggett

Roy Victor Baggett, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1933 in Pine Bluff to the late Ben and Ruby Walker. Mr. Baggett was in the Air Force and served in Germany and stateside. He was a barber for several years. He worked and retired after thirty-two years from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Mr. Baggett was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Kent Baggett.

Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Shirley Baggett, his children, Vicki Spradlin of Dover, Kirby Baggett (Carla) of Benton, and daughter-in-law, Annette Baggett of Rison. His seven grandchildren, Casey Spradlin (Jennifer), Sean Spradlin, Derik McCoy, Jacob Baggett, Laura Branson (Bryan), Brad Baggett (Casey), and Madeline Dunlap (Ryan). His Eleven great grandchildren, Ryan Hyatt, Mackenzie Spradlin, Madison Spradlin, Riley Hyatt, Leland Smith, Audrey Branson, Mack McCoy, Autumn Branson, Lincoln Baggett, Eli Dunlap, and Joshua Dunlap. His sister, Marilyn Williamson and brother, Jessie Rawls.

Visitation will be from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. With Graveside services at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery with Brother Wes Sparks officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rison High School 1950 State Championship Scholarship Fund in memory of Roy Baggett.
