Ronald Judson Sims, Sr.

Ronald Sims, Sr. age 74 of Conway passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 15, 1948 to the late Lonnie Sims and Betty Sims. He graduated from Bossier High School in 1966 and later went on to attend Louisiana Tech and received a degree in Elementary Education; then he attended LSU/Shreveport and received his Master’s Degree in Administrative Supervision. Ron was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was hard working, compassionate towards everyone and served the Lord in many ways.

He is survived by his wife Susan Denise Sims, children, Chip Sims (Heather) and  their children (Judson and Austin) of Pace Florida; Katherine Taylor (Jeff) of Little Rock, AR; Ryan Sims, Hunter Sims (Melissa) and their children (Landon, Hannah, Grady, Chelsea, Micah and Elijah), 5 great grandchildren, a bonus son, Adam Rowe (Cara) all of Sheridan, his brothers, Bob Sims and wife Carolyn Longview , TX; Michael Sims and wife Alexis, his sisters Brenda Brice and her husband George of Bossier City, LA; and Leni Gayle Woods of Plano, TX.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.
