Rommie G. Plunkett

Rommie Gene Plunkett, age 89 of Grapevine, AR.  passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Benton, AR.  He was born Wednesday, March 4, 1931 in Grapevine to the late Martin and Claudia Smithey Plunkett.  After 42 years of working for Cotton Belt Railroad, he retired to spend more time hunting, fishing and teaching his grandchildren how to cook.  He loved to visit and talk, and he never met a stranger.  He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made over the years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Huel Plunkett, and sisters, Connie Hayes and Sue Clement.

He is survived by his children, Kathy Jean Ivers of Oklahoma City, OK., Gary Lynn Plunkett ( Ginger) of Chandler, TX., Linda Gail Holbert (Jim) of Flint, TX., and Larry Don Plunkett (Lanita) of Grapevine, AR., 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, with a visitation 1 hour prior to services.  Burial will follow at Ain Cemetery in Grapevine.
