Robert J. Adams

Robert J. Adams was born March 12, 1938 in Saline County, to the late William and Stella Adams he was 85. God called him home October 22, 2023. “Blessed in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his Saints.”  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, W.D. Adams, Monroe A. Adams and Wilma L. Linton. Robert was a God loving man, and a Deacon at Walnut Ridge Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He always put God first and his family second. Robert worked 34 years in Law Enforcement, and God blessed his work. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and plowing his garden. He also rode horses and enjoyed his hunting dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Nancy Adams, his daughter Cynthia Adams, one brother, Billy O. Adams and his wife Wilma, grandchildren, Whitney Yancey, Brennon Winston, and Colbey Winston, great-grandchildren, Devan Mullins, Jadan Davis and Elisha Davis and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Orion Cemetery.
