Retha Christine (Ingram) Massey

Retha Christine Massey was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 2, 2023 at the age of 70. Born October 9, 1952 at Pine Bluff in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Ingram. Retha married Ricky Massey on April 26, 1969 and together had 3 children: Richard, Terry, and Robert. A homemaker, her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys. She loved to cook, bake, and spend time with family. In addition to her parents, Retha was preceded in death by her sibling, Carylon Carrington. 

Retha is survived by her husband, Ricky Massey of Grapevine; siblings, Earl Blundell of Pine Bluff, Connie Ingram of Star City, and Peggy (David) Phillips of Pine Bluff; sons: Richard Massey of Bossier City, Louisiana, Terry (Nichole) Massey of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Robert (Corina) Massey of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren: Jessica Massey of Ozark, Missouri, Nicholas Massey, Alexis Massey, Emma Massey of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Shelby Massey, Eli Massey, and Abram Massey of Little Elm, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, January 6, 2023, at Buie Funeral Home, 1301 S. Rock in Sheridan, Arkansas. Funeral will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 6, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with burial following in Davis Cemetery near Grapevine. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are: Timothy Kearney, Terry Kearney, Charles Phillips, Robert Phillips, Butch Blundell, and Rodney Fish.
