Patricia Ann Gavin

Patricia Ann Pevey Gavin age 83, of Herbine, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2021. She was born November 24, 1938, in Monticello to the late Louis and Ethel Millen Pevey. Growing up she attended Glendale schools. On June 8, 1957, Pat married J.W Gavin. She enjoyed farming, cooking, sewing, and keeping her three grandchildren. Pat loved being involved in her church, where she was a long time member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. She was a wonderful example of what a virtuous woman should be.

She is survived by two daughters Debbie (Mark) Young of Herbine and Donna (Wilton) Johnston of Rowell, two grandchildren Ellie Johnston and Gavin (Emily) Johnston, great-grandchildren Anna Beth Roberts, Julie Roberts and Tucker Johnston,  her sister Jane (John) Randolph of Sheridan and brother George (Lynn) Pevey of Star City. 

She was preceded in death by her husband J.W Gavin, granddaughter Shelly Roberts, and brothers Clifton, Bobby, Richard, Ronald, Ted and Tony Pevey.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
