Martha Ann (Downen) Mayhugh

 The family of Martha Ann Mayhugh would like to let you know that on July 15, 2023, Jesus called her for the greatest trip she has ever taken and she arrived safely in Heaven. She is now there with Jesus and having a reunion with her Grandparents Poppa and Mama Lula Downen; her Dad, Howard Downen; brother, Bill Downen; nephew Thad Downen; and niece Amber Taylor along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws and friends.

On some wonderful day, she will be joined by her loving husband David Mayhugh; her daughters Charlotte (Bobby) Ashcraft and Rhonda (Joe) Vanlandingham; 3 grandchildren: Seth Ashcraft, Drake Ezekiel, and Masyn Vanlandingham; her mother, Vernie Mae Downen; her sister Joyce Taylor and many other family and friends.

Marty was born on January 11, 1946. She loved deeply and was deeply loved. She was an adopted Mom and a dear friend of many. She loved most of all spending time with her family and traveling. Above all she was a beautiful soul, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and nana. We as her family, while knowing we will miss her until our last days, find comfort knowing she is at peace, and we will meet again.

Arrangements: Per her wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
