Maisie Marie Varnell

Maisie Marie Varnell, age 51, of Pine Bluff went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was born March 28, 1971, in Little Rock to the late Homer Dale Akines and Mary Ann Davis Akines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her biological parents, Bernice Stackhouse and Dwight Philpott. She was retired from the Arkansas Department of Corrections and loved horses, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Robert Varnell, her children, Tyler Akines and his wife Brandi, Jayme Varnell and Dylan Wolfe, her aunt Alicia Rhodes, her brother Richard Lane and three other siblings, two grandchildren Kaylee and James Don and numerous other family and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. August 2, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
