Lucille Rauls

Lucille Rauls, 92, of Rison, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, April 19, 2019. She was born May 28, 1926 in Boynton, OK to the late Lee Roy and Nora Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband R.B. Rauls, and four brothers, Bennett Stewart, Kenneth Stewart, Roy Stewart and Jackie Stewart. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Rison. Mrs. Rauls enjoyed quilting, gardening and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in her community. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Judy Penny of Clarksville, Janet Burkhardt of Rison, Jo Ann Long (Larry) of Monticello, James Rauls (Arlene) of Rison, Jeff Rauls of Bearden, siblings, Faye Storm of Eufaula, OK, Edith Jones of Sand Springs, OK, Clara July of Checotah, OK, one sister-in-law Jean Stewart, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a devoted caregiver, Marsha Shaver and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Rison with Bro. Allen Hagood and Bro. Johnie Brewster officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Bigham, Dalton Bigham, Steve Harlow, Weston King, Tony Burkhardt, and Brian Rauls. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen McKinney and Bobby Jones.
