Lorene Lucille (Capps) Birdwell

Lorene Lucille Capps Birdwell, age 87, of Rison went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born October 3, 1933 in Almyra, Arkansas to the late Kelly and Macel Capps. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and enjoyed working in her yard and fishing. She worked for the Country Kitchen and the Lighthouse prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Tommy Vasseau and siblings, Vivian Kemp, Chester Capps, and Lester Capps.

She is survived by her daughter Gwenda Sidwell and her husband Jim of Rison, one brother, Barney Capps, two grandchildren, Tony Sidwell, and Tracy Stillwell, great-grandchildren, Chance Stillwell, Chassidy Stillwell, Tyler Sidwell, Taylor Sidwell, and one great-great-grandchild Emi Sidwell.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 8826 Old Warren Rd in Pine Bluff. Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
