John D. Lunsford

John Dee Lunsford, age 69 of Rison AR passed away July 24, 2021 in Pine Bluff AR, due to complications with covid.  Johnny was born November 9, 1952, to the late JD Lunsford. He is survived by his sweet mama Helen Lunsford.
Johnny is preceded in death by his wife Judy Kay Lunsford. They married July 10, 1985. They lived together for 36 years in happiness, now they rest together in peace. He is also survived by his son, Johnathan and granddaughter JaCee Lunsford, his daughter Alisha Barton Nipper and son in law Troy, their 6 children and 19 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, David Sr., and wife Becky, brother, James Sr. and wife Sandy, and his sister Diane Lunsford Hebert. He has a number of nieces and nephews and was a go to mentor for all!
A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me” Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.  Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.

Memorial services for Johnny and Judy Kay Lunsford will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2750 Rogers Road West, Rison, AR 71665.
