Jerrica Lynn Marshall

A time to be born – the story of Jerrica Lynn Marshall, affectionately known to many as “Suga Baby” or “Princess” is the true meaning of what peace, love, joy and bravery would look like in a human form.  She was born on December 29, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas to her beautiful mother, Kabrina S. Marshall of Rison.

A time to love – Jerrica enjoyed being rocked for hours by her granny, Tammy Wainwright of Rison.  She loved to be in her mother’s arms while gazing up at her.  She loved getting her hair and nails done by her godmother, Molly of Little Rock.  She just loved to be pampered with body massages and head scratches.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2020, Jerrica heard the voice of the Lord and while responding to his call, her mother, Kabrina Marshall said while holding her in her arms “it is okay to answer to his call baby because my God is the only one who can save.”

A time to cherish – She leaves to honor her memory and legacy: mother, Kabrina S. Marshall; six uncles, Jerry Marshall, Jerrel Marshall, Jerrion Marshall, Jeremiah Marshall, Jayden Marshall, Jase Marshall; grandmother, Tammy Wainwright; grandfather, Jerry Marshall; special grandfather, Ronald Martin; great grandparents, Exloa Davis; very special great grandmother, Christine Phillips, all of Rison; loving, caring godmother, Roslyn "Molly" McBride of Little Rock; special aunt Shaneka Toney of Eudora; special aunt, Becky Hill of Rison and a host of cousins, family and friends. 

Jerrica is preceded in death by her great-great aunt, Ora Lee Langford; great grandmother, Martha Marshall; great grandfather, William Davis; great-great grandmother, Pearl Ada Young; great-great grandmother, Maoler Wainwright; great-great-great grandmother, Reola Davis and great-great grandfather, Andrew Lokie Marshall.

A wake will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020 at New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Rison.  Interment will follow at New Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Jerry Marshall, Jerrel Marshall, Jeremiah Marshall, Jerrion Marshall, Taishawn Marks and Reginald Roshell Jr.; honorary pallbearers are Billy Ray Ballard III and Keenyon Davis.
