James E. Hicks, Sr.

James Eddis Hicks, Sr. age 80, of Sheridan went to be with his Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022. He was born May 31, 1942 in Hensley, Arkansas to the late Eddis and Katie Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Hicks and his brother, Bud Hicks. Mr. Hicks was a retired corrugated supervisor and was a small business owner that manufactured deer stands. He was a faithful member of Sheridan Church of Christ, a hard worker, and a loving family man who also loved dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Hicks, his children, Cindy Wingard and her husband Deral, James Hicks and his wife Karen, Susan Rounkles and her husband Lane, siblings, Patricia Roth and her husband Sterling, Charles Styles, his sister-in-law Debbie Hicks, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Sheridan Church of Christ, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
