James Herrington

James “Red” Herrington, born February 8, 1939 passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 81.  James worked as a truck driver as well as a tanker man and mate for Brent Towing/Kirby.  He loved working in his vegetable garden. James was preceded in death by his parents John and Mae Herrington, brother, Jim Herrington, sister, Mary Johnson, son in laws, Bo Andrews and Randall Andrews.

He is survived by his sons, James “Casey” Herrington (Rhonda Martin) and Mark Carey Herrington (Lisa), other children, Connie Hayman (Ed), Vivian Andrews, Becky Andrews, Paula Reynolds and Allan Templet (Betty), sister, Myrtle Felts, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ed Hayman, Wendell Johnson, John Felts, Dustin Brewer, Aaron Felts, and Jonathan Herrington.  Honorary pallbearers are Kari Brewer, Patricia Herrington, Autumn Burns, and Kelli Martin.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison, AR, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Rison.
