Obituary
James A. Erwin, Sr. age 73, of Rison went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. He was born June 27, 1949 in Rison to the late Johnny Erwin and Loise McGriff Erwin. Mr. Erwin was a retired farmer. He was a member of Rison Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Shelly Sorg, grandchildren, Sean Sorg, Taylor Sorg his brother David Erwin and his sister Frances Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife Bobbie Jean Erwin, children, James Erwin, Jr., Robert Erwin of Dermott, Edward Erwin of Marianna, Toni Williams of Rison, Tesha Cauales (Marco) of Pine Bluff, siblings, Randy Erwin (Lisa) of Pine Bluff, William Erwin (Edna) of Keo, Paul Erwin (Shirley) of Dewitt, Bessie Freeman of Jacksonville, and 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Macedonia Cemetery.
