Gerald Lynn Dixon

Gerald Lynn Dixon, age 81, of Rison, went to be with his Lord on April 12, 2023. He was born November 5, 1941 in Rison to the late Woodrow and Marguerite Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother Dennis. Mr. Dixon was a business man and enjoyed fishing, traveling, listening to music, riding in his El Camino and making people laugh. AMEN.

He was also a faithful member and Deacon of New Home Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Charlene Dixon, his children, Barbara Morgan and her husband James, Tammie Wilkins, Shane Dixon and his wife Christie, and Shannon Dixon and his wife Hatsune “NeNe”, he is also survived by his siblings, Jean Henderson Wallace, Janice Austin, Sandra Walters and her husband Mike, William Dale Dixon and his wife Claudette, grandchildren, Chris Morgan, Michele Lawrence, Buddy Wilkins, Hunter Wilkins, Kaylyn Dixon, Kathryn Dixon, Ayden Dixon, Cruz Dixon, Maxim Dixon and Eily Dixon; great-grandchildren, Tristen, Tyler, Dylan, Conner, Jon David, Emersyn and Everett.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 with funeral services at 11:00 a.m., at New Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joseph Pemberton officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Barbara and James Morgan.
