Francis Collins

Francis Collins “Pig”, age 88, of Rison, AR passed away peacefully at his home February 18, 2021.  He was born September 16, 1932 in Rockford, IL to the late Albert and Captolia Whipple Collins.  Francis was a self-employed contractor for 60 years. He likes spending time with his family, picking his guitar and sitting around an open fire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Valgene, Brownie, Melvin, and Artie Collins, sisters, Shirley Aud Batchelar (Ninnie) and Daisy Fulcher Brown.

He is survived by his wife Patty Cook Collins, sons, Francis Collins Jr. (Christi) and Barry Collins (Caryn) of Rison, grandchildren, Stormie Cooley (Richard) of White Hall, Destinee, Captolia and Barry Jr. of Rison, great grandson Richard Cooley III, brother, Jerry Collins of Mt. Vernon, IL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Buie funeral Home of Rison.  Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home of Rison, burial will follow at Moores Church Cemetery in Rison.
