Floyd Edgar Smith, Sr.

Floyd Edgar Smith, Sr., age 91, of Redfield went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was born December 28, 1928 in Star City, AR to the late Edgar Tapler Smith, Sr. and Emily Inez Buck Smith Russell. Mr. Smith was a United States Army Korean War veteran and a welder by trade, working on bridges and overpasses. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, an avid gardener and enjoyed canning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shiron Smith, two grandchildren, Adam and Jamie, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Smith, and his wife Susan, Glenn Smith, Debbie Smith, Ann Kelly, three sisters, three brothers, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Viewing hours will be from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Rison.
