Fairy Lee (Ladd) Taylor

Fairy Lee Taylor, age 89 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully February 11, 2020 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 2, 1930 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Hosea and Mabel Sally Ladd. She worked for a Credit Union in Idaho and Montgomery Ward Department Store.  Fairy enjoyed fishing, camping, square dancing, gardening, watching Golden Girls and spending time with her family and friends.  She was member of First Southern Baptist Church of Sheridan, and had been a resident of Sheridan Nursing and Rehab for the last 8 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyne E. Taylor, son, Allen Graves, step-son, Cline “Butch” Taylor; brothers, Amos Ladd, Eamil Ladd, Talmage Ladd, Glynn Ladd, and sister Crystal Ladd Barnes.

Fairy is survived by her daughter Shirley Ferguson (Ron), step-daughters Melanie Archer (Craig) and Mary Pennington (Downey) 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her brother Harold Ladd, sister Barbara Hamilton (Paul), sister-in-law Marge Ladd and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sheridan Nursing and Rehab and her granddaughter and companion Shannon Barker who has been caring for Fairy for the last four years.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.  Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Center Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home (870) 942-3231.
