Evelyn Doss Jones

Evelyn Doss Jones, age 82, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Herbine, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Temple, Texas. She was born March 12, 1939 in Herbine, Arkansas to the late Elzie and Alma Doss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel “Cigar” Clyde Jones, and two daughters, Cindy Jones and Pam Lowery.

She is survived by her children, Randy Jones and Wendy of Lometa, TX, Rickey Jones of Lubbock, TX, Vickey Jones Ogerly and Wendell of Little-Field, TX, siblings, Bobby Doss of Midland, TX, David Doss of Rison, AR, Judy Vinson of Herbine, AR, grandchildren, Jerry Jones, Amber Rogers, Justin Lowery, Randi Henderson, Rebecca Fife, David Galbraith and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
