Danny Brent Wilkins

Danny Brent Wilkins, 42, of Rowell, AR, went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2024. Brent was born on April 28, 1981, to Danny and Sharon Floyd Wilkins. He was a 1999 graduate of Woodlawn High School and attended college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Brent was an extremely dedicated employee to the Union Pacific Railroad for over 13 years, working his way through the ranks to Senior Manager over track maintenance. Brent competed for many years in calf roping beginning at age 10. In high school, he belonged to the High School Rodeo Association where he won countless awards and buckles. His senior year he was recognized on the Wrangler National All Stars Team. 

January 31, 2004, Brent married Meredith McNeese. They were married for 20 wonderful years. They lived life to the fullest, and where there was Brent, there was Meredith. They were truly best friends who shared a love that was steadfast and true. Brent and Meredith have two daughters, Brentlee and Cain. Brent could be found on thesidelines cheering them on at any game night or competition. He would often accompany Meredith to help with taking pictures. Brent loved spending time with his family and friends. It has been said by many if he loved or cared for you, he did so deeply. 

Brent was a farmer, he especially loved baling and cutting hay. He spent countless hours on his tractor. Cowboys are described as being a breed that is tougher than nails and strong as steel. There are no truer words to describe Brent Wilkins. He was most importantly a loyal, loving, and always-present son, husband, father, and friend. He had a laugh and a sense of humor that could bring joy to anyone. He also enjoyed weightlifting, playing cards, playing softball, horse racing, and hunting.

Brent was preceded in death by his father Danny Wilkins, Grandparents Bill and Jean Wilkins, and Syble and Carroll Floyd. Brent is survived by his loving wife, Meredith McNeese Wilkins, daughters, Brentlee Wilkins, and Cain Wilkins, mother Sharon Floyd Wilkins, mother and father-in-law, Eugene and Laura McNeese, sister in laws, Beth Ellison (Clay), and Gaines McNeese. Nephews and Nieces Taylor Parker, Hudson and Libby Ellison, and Dalton Adair.

Pallbearers are Brad Young, Greg Jacks, Ben Boyd, Jacob Jacks, Derrick Lyons, Bryan Richardson, Brandon Spakes, and Cody Foreman. Honorary Pallbearers Drew Spakes, Bracy Wilkerson, Austin Wilkerson, Colby Jacks, Jason Young, Don Pharr, Pat Aiken, Travis Miller, Scott Miller, Chris Grisby, Bryan Sheilds, Otto Adair, and Hudgin Young.

Funeral services will be held at Center Missionary Baptist Church, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., with Bro. Doney Blackerby and Bro. Jackie Richardson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
