Daniel Stuckey Obituary

Daniel Attwood Stuckey went home to Heaven on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis O. Stuckey and Mary Sue “Nixie” Attwood Stuckey. He was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended the school his father founded, Ridgewood Preparatory School. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard both stateside and abroad in Germany. He met the love of his life, Martha Butterfield, at First Baptist Church New Orleans in August 1965. They married on March 5th 1966 which was also his birthday. They had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary and his 82nd birthday earlier this month. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. For the last several years he enjoyed Ham (Amateur) radio. He worked for Petty Drug Store which became Super D Drugstore and then USA Drugstore for 31 and a half years. He never met a stranger, he knew everyone in North Little Rock. He passed at home with his family.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Martha, daughters Beth Stuckey McLain and Mary Stuckey Gray and grandchildren Isaac Gray and Vivienne Gray. 

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Freehouse Cemetery near New Edinburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
