Cody Robert Hooks

Cody Robert Hooks, age 34 of Pueblo, CO, formerly of Hensley, has ascended to join his guardian angels on June 16, 2021. Cody was born on August 13, 1986 in Wynne, AR to Robert D. Hooks and Connie Browning-Carter. Cody thoroughly enjoyed his work and co-workers at Union Pacific.  When not working he loved spending time with his son and renovating his family home. Cody enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing with his family while rockin' in the Rockies.  When possible, Cody also loved reclaiming his youth by traversing the infinite worlds of Xbox and Dragon Ball Z.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Carter (Mark); father, Robert Hooks (Shirley); wife, Jerika Shrontz-Hooks; children, Emma Claire Shrontz and Alva Robert Hooks; Cousins that were more like brothers, Jared Carter and Blaine Carter (Shelly); sister, Shenna Collins; brother-in-laws, Curtis Shrontz (Serena) and Zakary Shrontz; sister-in-law, Ariell Shrontz; nephews, Landyn Grooms, Gavin Gault and Ethan Shrontz; nieces, Macy Shrontz, Tori Shrontz, Allison Shrontz, Cecilia Rodasti, and Ashtyn Shrontz; grandparents, Robert and Diane Hooks, and many cousins, family and friends, too numerous to mention. Cody also frequently tolerated his FIL and MIL, Chris and Kathy Shrontz.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, with services at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan to celebrate the fullness of his life.
