Obituary
Carolyn Gail Courtney, age 72 of Rison, passed away September 11, 2023. She was born August 16, 1951 in Pine Bluff to the late James R. and Frances Greenlee Lunsford. Carolyn was a joy to be around, she loved her flowers, family and friends, and was always making people smile and laugh. She will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry “Buck” Courtney, son, Bucky Knight, and sister, Patricia Booher.
Carolyn is survived by her brothers, Jim Boyd (Vickie) and Dickey Lunsford (Margaret), nephews, Mike and Keith Lunsford, and niece, Dusty Booher, and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Rowell Cemetery in Rowell, Arkansas.
