Carl Gene Draper

Carl Gene Draper, 82, of Sheridan, went to be with his Lord on July 13, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was born in Houston, Arkansas on March 8, 1937 to the late Gerald “Bay” Draper and Lois Draper.  Carl was a member of New Life Fellowship in Sheridan, and was a charter member of the Tolar Lake Hunting Club.  He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, woodworking and most importantly spending time with his grandkids.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, and a brother.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Sharon Draper, children, Alvin Gene Draper (Kelly), Jamie Bay Draper (Alisa), and Kevin Sherman Draper; grandchildren, Kasey Baye Price (Drew), Autumn Nichole Chizewsky (Seth), Austin Bay Draper, brothers, Kenneth and Denzil Draper and sister Margie McCormick, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
