Billy T Taylor

Billy T. Taylor, age 85, of Rison, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Greenhouse Cottages.  He was born February 25, 1937 in the “Y” Community to the late Jesse and Lottie Cash Taylor.  Billy worked at the Viking Bag Plant and retired after 38 years.  He enjoyed spending his retirement years hunting, fishing, junk hunting and mowing, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.  He was a faithful member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jean Taylor, brothers, Clarence and J.D. Taylor, and sister Lucille King.

Billy is survived by his sons Britt Taylor (Lisa) and Billy Craig Taylor, brother, Carter Taylor, sister, Lorene Givens, grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Linzy Taylor, Nikki Goodloe, and Kelley Story, great grandchildren, Drex Goodloe, Jaxon Taylor, Carter Taylor Smith, and Ever Story.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2022 at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Herbine, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Wade Peddy officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
