Beverley Carroll Reynolds

Beverley Carroll Reynolds, age 84, of Pine Bluff, AR passed away Monday, November 25, 2019.  She was born February 23, 1935 in Oakland, California, to the late Anthony Joseph Carroll and Katherine Cook Carroll, who both came to America from Ireland; Beverley was very proud of her Irish heritage, and she enjoyed listening to Irish ballads and folk songs. She was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She and a dear friend, Thelma Kaughman, began a local Welcome Wagon business in the 1980’s, which helped newcomers to Pine Bluff.  She was known for her loud laughter and willingness to help others, especially the elderly.  Running errands and sewing for others was important to her, as well.  Later in life, and with only two of her children still at home, Beverley went to college, earning a Bachelor’s degree from the University of AR at Pine Bluff and then a Master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of AR at Little Rock; she used her expertise of the elderly to give assistance to those in need up until she, herself, was unable to drive.  She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Robert Dale Reynolds, whom she married on October 15, 1955 in Oakland, California and her eldest son, Kenneth Reynolds.

Beverley leaves behind three children, Cindy Reed-Cook and husband, Ray of White Hall, David Reynolds and wife, Jeannie of Sheridan and Larry Reynolds and wife, Susan of Woodlawn (Randall) and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ward Reynolds from Belle Vista; nine grandchildren: Carla Ward Martin, Kensey Reynolds Honey, Landon Reed, Robyn Reed, Jordan Reynolds, Lauren Reynolds, Kristen Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds and Cole Reynolds, one sister Barbara Matheney of Alamo, CA and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Moseley Cemetery in Bradley County.  Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
