Annie Fay Kimbrell

Annie Fay Brooks Kimbrell, age 78, of Rison went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019. She was born March 10, 1941 in Gould, Arkansas, to the late William Franklin Brooks and Millie Clegg Brooks. Annie was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Annie retired from Simmons Bank after eighteen years of service.  She was known for her love of cooking and baking that she shared with her family and friends.  Annie loved having her family around her.  Her family will always remember her love of flowers. She would purchase the flowers and her loving husband; Burl would plant them and keep them pretty all summer long for her.  They had a beautiful love story that began on December 22, 1956.  They danced through life together in love.  She will be forever loved and missed until we meet again on Heaven’s shores.  In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Evans, Williams Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Marydell Neal, Margaret Sanderford and Estell White.

Annie’s memory will be cherished by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Burless Franklin Kimbrell of Rison; children, Debra Kimbrell of Hot Springs and Franklin (Lea) Kimbrell of Calmer; grandchildren, Brooke Williams, Don Allan (Melissa) Williams and Kody Kimbrell, all of Rison; great grandchildren, Adrea Roberts, Ethan Williams and Kylee Williams, all of Rison.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jackie Richardson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Rowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Woods, Jason Stamps, Danny Brock, Jr., Billy Walter, Jr., David Brooks, and David Anderson, with Jerry Stamps as an honorary pallbearer.
