Russell Nicholas Melton

Russell Nicholas Melton, 58, of Pine Bluff died on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.  He was born on August 7, 1960 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to J. D. and Hazel Veoma Smith Melton.  Before his retirement, Mr. Melton was owner-operator of Melton Citgo Station from 1990 until 2004 and he also worked for Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home for nine and a half  years.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.  Russell will always be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Jimmy Donald Melton.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Russell Melton, Jr. (Tina); siblings, Hazel Juanita O'Dell, Harvey Lynn Melton; sister-in-law, Theresa Melton; grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa and Sara; great grandchildren, Taylor Ann and Chelsi Grace.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.  Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Pine Bluff.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the funeral home.  Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.buiefuneralhome.com.  (870)325-6216
