Roy Berry Obituary

Roy Albert Berry, age 90, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. He was born January 31, 1928 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late W.S. and Missouri Berry. He lived a life of adventure, he served in the United States Navy and the United States Army, he was a crop duster, competitive airplane racer, and commercial pilot for Continental Airlines for 32 years. He was well travelled and had a lifelong passion for flying and learning. He will always be remembered for his charm and most of all for his million dollar smile.

He leaves behind his loving companion Pearl McGhee, her son Mike McGhee and her sister Laverne Newton. He is also survived by his children, Damon Berry (Donna), Carol Moreno, Christina Weiselman (Jack), Charles Berry, Molisa Wilkins, Amy Wilkins Bronson, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

A special thanks to the McGhee family for all of the love and care they gave to  Mr. Berry.

A celebration of Mr. Berry’s Life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 3, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.
