Lester Merle Burdess

Lester Merle Burdess, 89, of Sheridan passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was born October 18, 1929 to the late Albert and Fern Burdess. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Burdess and two children, Leslie Burdess and Anita Trammell. Mr. Burdess was an accountant and later went on to own his own business cutting and hauling pulpwood, he also enjoyed beekeeping and gardening.

He is survived by his children Susan Wallace, Mitchell Burdess, Audrey Thompson, grandchildren, Toby Trammell, Teresa Trammell, Benjamin and Samantha White, Michael Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Wesley Watson, Audrey Watson and his great-grandchildren, Landen, Jace, Arabella, Gunner, Damien, Kaitlyn and Jacob.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
