John Stane, Sr.

John J. Stane, Sr. age 73, passed away  Wednesday, May, 8, 2019 surrounded by family at his home in Sheridan.   He was born August 2, 1945 in Arkansas to the late Knotley and Anna Stain.  John loved gardening, fishing, wheeling and dealing, and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Stane, daughter Lillie Stane, sisters Alice King, Mary Tyler,  Lillie White and Ruby Smothers and brother Franky Rankin. 

He is survived by his children John Stane, Jr., Karen White, Melissa Reynolds (Jimmy), Melinda Harp and George Stane, brothers, Junior Stane, Ricky Stain, Charles Wayne Stain and sisters, Brenda King, and Chleo Willhight,  grandchildren, Jonathan Stane, Lacey Murphy, Melondy Lamanick, Rodney White, Bodie Stane, Carol James, Danny Rucker, Heather Grant, Julianna Harp, Ashley Stane, Bradley Stane, Jr. Wilkinson, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at Center Campground Cemetery in Sheridan, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at the cemetery.
