James Allen Harrell, Sr.

James Allen Harrell, Sr., age 84, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday, January 21, 2020.  He was born on May 12, 1935 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Martin Luther and Emma Kate Taylor Harrell.  Mr. Harrell was a retired Captain of the Pine Bluff Police Department, with having served twenty-one years in law enforcement.  After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and RVing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Ronnie Lunsford, Tommy Harrell; great grandson, David Gage Kimbrell and twenty siblings.

Mr. Harrell is survived by his wife, Margaret Priscilla Sinks Harrell; sons, Jimmy (Andrea) Harrell, Francis Harrell (wife of Tommy Harrell), Donnie (Sandra) Harrell, Ronnie (Crystal) Harrell, Lonnie (Suzanne) Harrell, Jimmy Ray (Sandra) Lunsford, Mark (Vicki) Lunsford, Tony (Tiffani) Lunsford; daughter, Kathy (David) Wallace; thirty grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a whole host of nieces, nephews and other Harrell descendants.  

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Cross Roads Christian Fellowship, 9833 McKevin Road, Pine Bluff, AR with Brother John Bean officiating.
