George Albert Daniel

George Albert Daniel, of Kingsland was born September 17, 1930 in Italy, Texas to Albert and Lotta Daniel. He passed away on March 30, 2018 at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Ross Daniel and Lotta Parsons Daniel, four sisters, Anita, Peggy, Edna Mae and Betty, one brother Kenny, his daughter Shirley Roth, one son George L. Daniel, two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ethel Mae Daniel, his daughters, Patty Lewter and her husband David Lewter of Malvern, AR, Dottie Sonder and her husband Dean Sonder of New Edinburgh, AR, Debbie Lockhart and her husband Wayne Lockhart of Humphrey, AR, seven grandsons, 20 great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister all of Arizona, several sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews and his entire church family at Kingsland Methodist Church.

George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle to his family. Known to many in the community as Papaw. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and singing at church. He served during the Korean War with the US Navy as a fireman on the USS Randall Tap 115. He was a machinist at North American Aviation in California, where he made parts for the  Apollo Spacecraft. He also worked for Sunstrand Aviation in Denver, CO where he made parts for space shuttle missions, he retired from there in 1984 and moved to Arkansas, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was an avid member of Kingsland Methodist Church where he enjoyed to visit the local nursing homes and sing, which made him and the residents happy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Kingsland Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Kingsland Cemetery.
