Elvert Flowers

Elvert “John” Flowers, age 85, of Sheridan passed away on August 14, 2018. He was born May 2, 1933 in DeRoche, Arkansas to the late Ira and Mittie Owens Flowers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Flowers in 2002, one sister, Evelyn Shockey, five brothers, Fred, A.J., Coy, Roy, and Elmer Flowers and one son-in-law Paul Wayne Allen. He was a  retired Millwright from Toler Lumber Company and enjoyed gardening and working in his yard during his retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Joyce Welch and husband Roy, Karen Lynn Allen, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
