Charles Gregory Hays

Charles Gregory Hays, age 62, of Sheridan went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 19, 2019. He was born June 13, 1957 in Pine Bluff to the late Jack and Sarah Hays. In his early years he attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School later graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1975. He worked at the Jefferson County Courthouse for over 43 years. He enjoyed, fishing, grilling, weather watching and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lori Hays, his daughters, Miranda Ward and her husband Ryan, Rebekka Traywick and her husband Calvin, one brother, Jack Hays and his wife Judy, grandchildren, Alexander Ward, Hannah Grace Ward and Samuel Blair. He is also survived by his family at the Jefferson County Courthouse and numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kirk McCullough, Hurley Ragar, Dillon Offutt, Greg Lawrence, Buddy Reed, Ryan Ward, Calvin Traywick, Alex Ward, Jack Hays and Thomas Raymick. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan (870) 942-3231.
