Carlton "Skip" Dean Collins, age 54, of Kingsland died Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Skip was born on December 25, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Margaret Davis Graham and the late Travis Lee Collins. He was owner-operator of Collins Construction. One of Skip's hobbies and passions was music, having spent many years playing in his band. He was known for being a loving husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather. Skip was a member of Kingsland Methodist Church. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ollie Bell Smith and Margie Davis.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty-eight years, Teresa Collins; mother, Margaret (Bud) Graham; sons, Jimmy (Shana) Bell, Tyler Collins, daughter, Brandy Howie; sisters, Laura (Eddie) Gomez, Meredith Graham; brothers, Mark (Betty) Collins, Michael Graham; grandson, Travis Ward and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Crossroads Cemetery in Kingsland with Reverend Mark Rivers officiating. Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
