Barbara Ann (Wilson) Reed

Barbara Ann Reed, age 83, of Pine Bluff, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at The Waters of White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born February 4, 1936 in the North Concord Community, near Rison, Arkansas, to the late Eugene Wilson and Willie Bearden Wilson. She was a graduate of Rison High School. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church.  She retired from Ben Pearson Parts after 36 years, she also was the owner of Reed’s Television Repair Service for 52 years with her late husband James A. “Buddy” Reed. Mrs. Reed had no children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews.  She loved doing church work and reading the bible through several times.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James A. “Buddy” Reed; sister, Sue Wilson Brown and one brother, Van Eugene Wilson.

She is survived by her brother Thomas C. Wilson and wife, Mary Jo of White Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating.  The family will receive friends prior the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow in Rowell Cemetery.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers and her great nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
