Bennie Joe Simmons

Bennie Joe Simmons, of Prattsville departed this life on March 16, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born January 7, 1940 in Willow, Arkansas to the late Dale and Vera Reynolds Simmons. Bennie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and story-telling. He spent many hours around a campfire telling tales. In his early years in Eugene, Oregon he would bear hunt. He said that was his favorite hunting of all. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Christine Simmons, his son Joe Dan Simmons, his parents Dale and Vera Simmons, three brothers, Travis Paul and Marvin Simmons.

He is survived by his son, Billy Simmons of Malvern, his daughter, Beverly Frost (Doyle) of Birchtree, MO, four grandsons, Cheyenne Simmons of Hot Springs, Jamie Webb (Carly) of Leola, Brandon Webb (Crystal) of Prattsville, Shawn Webb (Ashley) of Conway, two granddaughters Mandy Norris (Christian) of Malvern and Amber Buck of Malvern, 11 great-grandchildren, Emilee and Carter Webb, Logan, Falon and Laney Webb, Nathan and Alexandria Webb, Conner and Chelsea Buck Chase and Charley Norris, one sister, Bobbie Taylor of Malvern, his best friend (Like a Son) Charlie Lee of Malvern, a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Cypress Cemetery in Willow.
